Fruit is added to pizzas in several ways, it can be as an adjunct to a savory pizza as in Gorgonzola bacon and pears, or pineapple added to a meat pizza to make a Hawaiian pizza. Sometimes figs are added to a ham to complement a savory pizza.

At other times a fruit pizza is combined with honey or cream cheese, or crème fraîche to make a dessert fruit pizza. Let's begin with an oath fruit pizza recipe:

Ingredients Required

The Crust

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 egg, beaten


  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh peaches or nectarines, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries

Citrus Glaze

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice


Step by Step Procedure

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°
  2. Combine the flour, cornstarch and sugar.
  3. Rub the butter into the mixture with your fingertips.
  4. Add an egg.
  5. Shape the base with your hands to make a circle about a half Inch thick.
  6. Bake for ten minutes until lightly browned.
  7. Arrange fresh fruit decoratively on the base.
  8. To make the glaze, mix together all the ingredients except the zests in a pan.
  9. Boil for one minute.
  10. Pour the glaze over the fruit pizza and then scatter the zests over it.


Here's a very basic and easy sugar cookie fruit pizza recipe, in case you don't have a lot of time and need a quick dessert:

Ingredients Required

  • 1 package sugar cookie dough
  • Sugar
  • 8 ounce of cream cheese
  • Fruit
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Step by Step Procedure

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°
  2. Roll out the sugar cookie dough.
  3. Put it in the oven until it's golden brown.
  4. Spread the cream cheese over the cookie dough.
  5. Sprinkle the sugar over it.
  6. Top with fruit.


Here's a recipe for a fruit pizza with mascarpone, nectarines and walnuts. Stracchino cheese or mascarpone cheeses mix well with hazelnuts or walnuts and combined with nectarines they make a sublime fruit pizza.

Ingredients Required

  • Basic pizza dough.
  • 4 ounces of walnuts
  • 5 ounces of mascarpone
  • 4 firm nectarines, sliced
  • Half and half cream

Step by Step Procedure

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°
  2. Mix the nuts with the cheese and cream.
  3. Spread it over the thing pizza dough
  4. Add the sliced nectarines.
  5. Dribble over a little olive oil.
  6. Bake until the crust is golden brown.
